The part most apps get wrong
Redeeming at the counter takes one tap.
Your staff open the customer on Shopify POS and see the balance right there. One button spends it and produces a discount code, read straight off the screen. No separate app to log into, no card to find, no typing a customer's email into a second system while a queue builds.
There is deliberately no "choose an amount" step. At a busy counter, every extra decision is a reason for staff to quietly stop using it.
And the balance goes down. Redeeming in store spends from the same ledger as redeeming online, so a reward can't be used twice.

Why we built it this way
Where loyalty programs lose points.
These are the failures that cost merchants real money, and they all come from the same place: a balance stored as a number somebody can overwrite. Azee stores the movements instead, and adds them up.
“They redeemed at the till and their balance never went down.”
A redemption is a row in the ledger, and it takes a lock on the customer before it's written. Two tills ringing up the same customer at the same moment can't both spend the same points — the second one is refused, not double-counted.
“Their balance doesn't match the history on their own account.”
It can't. The balance is the history, added up. Azee recomputes the total from every entry and compares it to the stored one — that's the check running in the demo above.
“An import went wrong and everyone's points changed overnight.”
Imports preview before they write, report every row they couldn't match, and the whole run can be reversed. A correction is a new entry, never an edit — so you can always see what happened and when.
“A customer is disputing their balance and I can't prove anything.”
Every entry carries what it was for, where it happened, which order it came from, and the balance immediately after it. A disputed balance always has an answer.
“A customer asked to be deleted and it took my books with it.”
The ledger holds no personal data — entries reference a customer record, not a name or an email. So a deletion request erases the personal data and leaves the financial history intact, anonymised.

Shopify delivers webhooks at least once, so duplicates are normal. Every write carries a key that makes the second delivery a no-op rather than a second award.
How it works

Azee sets up a working program on install — 1 point per dollar, three tiers, 100 points for $5 off — so you land on something that already works rather than an empty settings screen. Change any of it whenever.
Install and add the widget
Add the rewards block to your theme in the Shopify theme editor. It's an app block, so it disappears cleanly if you ever uninstall — nothing is pasted into your theme files.
Customers earn automatically
Points are awarded on every paid order, online or on POS, on the order subtotal — never on tax or shipping. Tier multipliers apply as customers move up.
They redeem, either way
On your website through the widget, or at the counter through Shopify POS. Both produce a real single-use Shopify discount code, and both spend from the same balance.

Tiers that run themselves
Customers move up as they spend, and higher tiers earn faster. Set your own names, thresholds and multipliers, or keep the defaults.
Real Shopify discount codes
Redemptions mint a genuine Shopify discount code that is single-use and locked to that customer, so a leaked code is worthless to anyone else. Ambiguous letters are left out so it can be read aloud across a counter.
Import your existing balances
Upload the export from your current loyalty app. Azee matches the columns, shows you a preview before it writes anything, reports the rows it couldn't match, and the whole run is reversible.
Honest numbers
What your unspent points actually cost you in dollars, how much of your revenue comes from members, and how member spend compares to guest spend — labelled as the correlation it is, not a promise.

Switching
Nobody loses their points.
Export the balances from your current loyalty app and upload the file. Azee works out which column is which — it already understands the export formats from the common apps — and shows you exactly what it's about to do before it does it.
Rows it can't match to a customer are listed rather than silently dropped, so you can fix them and run it again. And if the whole thing was a mistake, one button reverses it.
Importing balances is part of the Retail plan, and there's a 14-day free trial — long enough to move your program across and check it before you pay anything.
Leaving is just as easy. Export your whole ledger as CSV any time, on any plan including the free one — every movement, not a balance summary.
