Azee ("the app") is a loyalty and rewards app for Shopify stores. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and how long for. It is written to be read, not to be impenetrable.
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your store's domain and access token | To connect to your Shopify store and act on your behalf |
| Customer ID and email address | To identify the same customer across your online store and Shopify POS, and to match balances when importing from another loyalty app |
| Order ID, order value and whether the order came from POS or online | To award points correctly and to report revenue back to you |
| Points earned, spent and adjusted | To maintain each customer's balance and answer disputes about it |
The app does not request or store customer addresses, phone numbers, payment
details or card data. It asks Shopify only for the minimum permissions it needs:
read_customers, read_orders and
write_discounts.
The points ledger itself contains no personal information — entries reference an internal customer record, not a name or an email.
Nobody. The app does not sell, rent or share merchant or customer data with third parties. Data is processed only to provide the app to the store it belongs to, and is never combined across stores.
The app runs on cloud hosting and uses Shopify's APIs. Those providers process data solely to keep the service running.
Shopify's privacy webhooks are implemented in full. A customer can ask you for a copy of everything the app holds about them, or ask for it to be erased, and the app responds to both. Requests come through Shopify, so raise them with your store as you would any other data request.
All traffic is encrypted in transit. Access tokens are stored server-side and never exposed to browsers. Requests from your storefront and from Shopify POS are cryptographically verified before the app will read or change any balance.
